8/08/08 Water Blessing Ceremony
Lake Tahoe, California
We are taking advantage of the energy that 8/08/08 provides. We will be gathering at the beginning headwaters of the Truckee River which fills the lake to offer our Love and Gratitude to all the waters of the world. A crystal alter of healing offerings will be offered to the headwaters.
At sunset we will gather to assemble gifts of crystals, herbs, flowers and tobacco to sleep under the moon along the springs of the Sierras. This will be followed by a Round Dance Ceremony which will energize the offerings and bring blessings. On the morning of August 8, we will rise with the sun to pay a tribute of gratitude to the spirits and ancestors that walk with us this day with Native American songs and drums. When the sunrise ceremony is concluded, will ask the women to take these offerings and gifts to the Truckee River headwaters.
