| 1999-2004 Traditional Walk Decades ago the indigeneous tribes of the Eastern Sierras walked across the mountains through Yosemite to trade with the coastal tribes. In 1990, Marshall was lead to bring this walk back to life. He lead hundreds of natives and supporters across this 55 mile journey for fifteen years to commemorate this tradition. Many prayers were said, spirits seen, births and deaths passed on this path, just like in years gone by. This walk was broadcast in a documentary on KCOY. Copy available upon request and donation. At this time, we would like to express our love and eternal gratitude to Byrd Holes, age 12, who, singlehandedly, put on a bakesale and raised $300 to cover our gas expenses to build a sweatlodge in Jacumba, California. WE LOVE YOU, BYRD! Marshall never asks money for his services. Please help. Earrings, CD's and stories are available for purchase to help support our work. See our products page. |
